Two Injured When Car Crashes Into Bank
May 16, 2014
A car recently crashed into a Glendora bank, leaving at least two injured, according to a recent report. The crash apparently occurred when a 69-year-old woman lost control of her Mercedes-Benz sedan and drove it into a US Bank in the 800 block of South Grand Avenue. One of those injured was a bank employee who was hit by a flying piece of furniture. The driver was pulled from the car by another employee. The driver narrowly missed being injured by glass falling from the sunroof. Both the employee and the driver were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Luckily, none of the injuries were serious. Glendora Police responded to the incident, explaining that the cause of the crash was not immediately clear, but police thought the driver may have been impaired by a medical issue. A later report explained that the woman thought the car was in park, when it was in fact in drive.
